Material & Finish
2-Ply Laser Engravable Acrylic – 1.6mm Thick
Our 2-ply RowMAX is a high-impact material engineered for precision engraving and cutting. The top layer features a durable laminated foil finish, while the back side has a matte finish for stability. The material is UV-stabilised, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Applications
This 2-ply acrylic is ideal for signage, badges, awards, plaques, labels, nameplates, Electrical panel and switchboard labels and decorative or industrial uses. Its two-tone surface delivers precise, high-contrast engravings, with UV stability for up to five years outdoors.

Engraving & Cutting Specifications
The material allows engraving to a depth of 0.08mm and supports a wide range of capabilities including scoring, drilling, laser vector cutting, heat bending, hot stamping, fine engraving, UV printing, sawing, shearing, beveling, screen printing, bonding, silk screening, and maintaining UV stability for external variants.

Protective Masking
The top foil layer is protected by a removable plastic film to prevent damage during transport and storage. Sheets should be stored flat to avoid warping, and the protective film should be removed before engraving for best results.

At Koenig Machinery, we’re committed to providing high-quality acrylic sheets. Due to the nature of the material and its manufacturing process, please take note of the following:

Colour Accuracy Disclaimer

We take care to ensure all acrylic product images are photographed using colour-calibrated equipment and controlled lighting to provide the most accurate representation possible.

However, colours and tones may appear differently depending on the device used to view them. Variations in monitors, phones and tablets — including brightness, contrast and colour settings — can affect how colours are displayed. Unless a viewing device has been professionally calibrated, the colour shown on screen may differ slightly from the physical material.

For colour-critical applications, we recommend purchasing a sample or swatch pack prior to ordering. Due to these variables, colour variation caused by screen display differences cannot be accepted as a reason for return or refund.

Surface & Film Appearance

Some sheets may have minor marks, wrinkles, or imperfections in the protective film or acrylic itself. Grade 2 sheets may show these more noticeably, which is reflected in their pricing.

Protective Film

Wrinkles in the film can sometimes cause light fogging after laser cutting. This can be easily cleaned with isopropyl alcohol or similar acrylic-safe products.

Removing the Protective Film

If acrylic sheets have been stored for an extended period, the protective film may adhere more firmly and be harder to remove. This is normal and does not affect the acrylic itself.

  • Apply gentle, even heat using a heat gun on a low setting or a hair dryer.
  • Warm the film slightly — do not overheat — to help soften the adhesive.
  • If the edge is difficult to lift, press masking tape or packing tape firmly onto a corner and pull back slowly.
  • Roll the film back over itself rather than pulling straight up.
  • Use a wooden dowel, plastic scraper, or rounded tool to gently lift stubborn edges without scratching the acrylic.
  • Peel the film off slowly and evenly to reduce tearing.
  • If residue remains, remove it with a mild cleaner or isopropyl alcohol suitable for acrylic.

Storage & Care

Always store acrylic sheets flat and away from heat or direct sunlight to prevent warping or damage to the protective film.

Sheet Sizes & Tolerances

Actual sheet sizes may be slightly larger than listed. For example, 1200 × 900 mm may measure approximately 1220 × 905 mm. This can make cutting easier. The 300 × 200 mm option is always cut to the exact size.

  • Thickness tolerance: ±10%
  • Sheet size cutting tolerance: ±5 mm

Shipping is generally more economical in smaller sized sheets, up to 22 kg in weight.

Acrylic Sheet Weight Formula

Weight (kg) = Width (m) × Length (m) × Thickness (mm) × 1.19

Approximate weight examples per sheet:

  • 3 mm Thick Acrylic 200 × 300 mm = 215 g
  • 3 mm Thick Acrylic 300 × 600 mm = 643 g
  • 3 mm Thick Acrylic 600 × 600 mm = 1.28 kg
  • 3 mm Thick Acrylic 600 × 900 mm = 1.93 kg

Cutting Safety

Always ensure proper ventilation and fume extraction when cutting acrylic.
