Fiber Lasers
Change the way we manufacture in Australia, high speed and economical Fiber laser cutting solutions will transform your production line. Suitable for a wide range of solutions and price points. From entry level to large full-scale production machines we can offer you the solution that works for your needs.
How It Works?
A Fiber laser cutter uses a high-intensity laser beam generated by high-intensity diode lasers. The laser beam is transmitted through a flexible fiber optic cable to the cutting head, where it is focused automatically thought a lens onto the workpiece surface. The focused laser beam melts or vaporizes the material, creating a narrow and precise cut.
A highly precise system regulates the beam power, pulse width, frequency and gas pressure to ensure absolute control of the cutting parameters for cutting a wide range of metals.
Why You Need a Fiber Laser?
Keeping in step with technology is vital to being efficient and cost effective. Fiber laser cutting technology has started to stabilise in innovation and has reduced in price where it is now becoming accessible to general industry both in price and reliability.
Unbeatable Advantages
At Koenig Machinery we aim to help businesses achieve their goals in production and ROI. Fiber laser technology does both. Efficiency, Ease of Use and Ongoing Technical Support from our service team will help you to achieve these objectives.
Fiber lasers achieve faster processing speeds and higher precision compared to standard Co2 cutters, plasmas or CNC machines. Some other cutting machines have their advantages in some cutting needs, the range of quality of a Fiber lasers gives an edge in most scenarios.
With a greatly increase range of cutting thicknesses and material types as well as greatly reduced pierce times and cutting kerf, fiber lasers keep their advantage over plasmas and CNC’s.
Fiber lasers are capable of producing highly accurate and intricate cuts with tight tolerances, making them ideal for cutting complex shapes, fine details, and small features. They also produce greatly reduced heat effected zones (HAZ) further reducing warping and heat stress on your materials.
Once installed with one of our Koenig Engineers, your operator will understand the benefits to your cutting needs and production line to gain all the benefits out of a fiber laser.
Fiber laser cutting produces a cleaner, smoother, burr free result compared to other processes, reducing your secondary finishing requirements, lowering labour requirements and minimising wastage. From an operational perspective, Fiber lasers have much lower maintenance requirements compared to plasma and older Co2 machines. With the use of high pressure compressed Air these ongoing input costs are reduced further.

Material Compatibility with Fiber Lasers
Fiber lasers are the go-to for all metal cutting. Cut any metal with precision, speed and a perfect final cut finish.
Compact To Full Scale Bed Sizes
Bed sizes from standard sheet of 1250mmx 2500mm, 1500mm x 3000mm to much larger all the way up to 12000mm x 2500mm. These bed sizes available of if your workshop requires it a popular fast exchange table are available.
For smaller requirements we also offer popular 1300mm x 900mm or half sheet sizes of 1300mm x 1300mm. These are popular in smaller footprint needs in prototyping facilities, Universities, STEAM departments and smaller workshops.
Versatile Fiber Laser Solutions
Open Bed Fiber Lasers
Experience the convenience of easy material loading/unloading and seamless workflow with our open bed designs, perfect for full sheet cutting.
Closed Bed Fiber Lasers
Ensure optimal safety and containment during laser cutting processes with our closed bed configurations, minimising risk of hazardous debris and sparks
Tube Sheet Cutting
Unlock unparalleled precision and accuracy for complex geometries with our specialised machines designed specifically for tube sheet cutting
What To Consider When Choosing The Right Fiber Laser?
Our team has compiled important factors you should consider when purchasing a fiber laser machine.
Material Considerations
Consider the material type and thickness you are going to cut when buying a fiber laser.
Bed Size
Consider the size of the materials you will be cutting.
Laser source
We have 3 laser source options, the MAX, Raycus and IPG source. The IPG is capable of cutting Aluminium brass coppeer and non-ferrous metals. The same goes for the MAX in 3kW or 6kW and above, and the Raycus in 6kW and above.
Laser Power
Pick the power of your laser based upon the applications it will be used for.
Service and Support
Consider the manufacturer’s level of service and support such as warranty, and repair services.
Speed
With a larger motor set your machine will be able to accellerate and move faster. Keep this in mind when looking at higher powered machiners if you plan to cut thinner metal stock!
